  • Step 1: $72,945.60
  • Step 2: $82,659.20 (OPOTA Certification, 2 years experience)
  • Step 3: $95,347.20 (OPOTA Certification, 3 years experience)
  • Step 4: $119,516.80 (OPOTA Certification, 4+ years experience)

  • Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certificate or ability to attend and complete a police academy

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • High School Diploma or GED; additional training at the police academy required

Experience Requirements

  • No prior experience necessary; however, lateral transfers with OPOTA Certification are considered based on experience.
