Responsibilities

  • Undergo training to become a fully qualified Police Officer
  • Engage with community members to foster trust and cooperation
  • Participate in physical ability tests and written examinations
  • Complete necessary background investigations and character reviews
  • Successfully graduate from the police academy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate from an accredited institution
  • At least 21 years of age at the time of academy graduation
  • Valid Driver’s License to operate an automobile
  • No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency with application for citizenship

  • Diploma from an accredited U.S. high school or G.E.D. certificate.

Experience Requirements

  • No prior experience is required; however, candidates should possess personal motivation and interest in community service.
