Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $75,000 - 90,000 / yr
• Full-time position (Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities
• Prepare for surveys through off-site preparation, facility tours, and record review
• Evaluate compliance with Federal regulations and consumer rights
• Communicate non-compliance issues during site reviews and exit conferences
• Assess the acceptability of plans of correction
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor implementation of corrections
• Participate in facility and bureau training sessions

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT)
• At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor in long-term care
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
