Compensation and Benefits

• Salary ranging from \(75,000 to \)90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities
• Prepare for surveys through off-site preparation and facility tours
• Assess compliance with federal regulations regarding care, treatment, and services
• Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel during site reviews
• Evaluate the quality of care and consumer rights within healthcare facilities
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor implementation of corrective actions
• Assist with training for facilities and participate in workgroups as needed

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of SMQT
• At least two years of recent experience as a surveyor in long-term care facilities
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
