Job Description

Join our esteemed organization as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in a flexible remote role that harmonizes both in-office and home-based work. We are seeking a dedicated and proficient CPA who will be instrumental in the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts & estates. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in tax planning, preparation, and research to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, while delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position is ideal for a CPA who excels in a collaborative, client-focused environment and is eager to elevate their professional journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts & estates.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams on tax planning and preparation.
  • Assist clients with tax strategies and special projects to achieve their financial objectives.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of tax forms, proposing necessary edits prior to filing.
  • Investigate and resolve any tax or accounting-related challenges.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, providing outstanding service and coordinating with other financial professionals.
  • Represent clients during IRS, state, and other governmental inquiries or audits.
  • Uphold professional standards and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Proven time management capabilities with a strong aptitude for prioritizing tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive work ethic.
  • Highly motivated team player committed to collective success.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and research, with an emphasis on income tax returns preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience with final tax return sign-off.
  • Active CPA designation or EA certification.
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software (Lacerte and QuickBooks preferred), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Adobe.

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA designation or EA certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
