Job Overview:
Join our esteemed and innovative organization as a Mid-Level Accountant in a fully remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will be integral to overseeing daily accounting functions, collaborating closely with management, and applying your meticulous attention to detail throughout the full cycle of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, including monthly invoicing.
  
• Ensure precise and prompt processing of daily transactions and account reconciliations.
  
• Calculate GSA/IFF fees as necessary.
  
• Record journal entries to the balance sheet and income statement per established protocols.
  
• Update balance sheet accounts and perform weekly and monthly reconciliations.
  
• Undertake daily postings and downloads for banking and credit card transactions as required.
  
• Process payroll, ensuring timely submissions.
  
• Review and process monthly and quarterly sales and use tax as necessary.
  
• Reconcile quarterly payroll filings with the general ledger.
  
• Supervise the month-end closing process.
  
• Manage incurred cost submissions and indirect rate calculations.
  
• Draft and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
  

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
• CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  
• Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on the complete accounting cycle.
  
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  
• Familiarity with accounting software such as PROCAS, Deltek, or equivalent.
  
• Experience with payroll systems like Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or similar.
  
• Proficient in invoicing platforms such as PIEE, IPP, GSA, or similar.
  
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering relationships at all organizational levels.
  
• Strong analytical abilities and adeptness at handling sensitive information.
  
• Competence in managing large datasets effectively.
  
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks; attention to detail is crucial.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with advanced knowledge preferred.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in government contracting is preferred.
