Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant

We are a prominent investment firm based in Nashville, specializing in the acquisition and management of commercial real estate throughout the United States. Our diverse portfolio encompasses retail, office, industrial, SNTL, and residential assets across seven key markets. Additionally, we evaluate company acquisitions primarily concentrated in the greater Nashville area.

Job Overview As a Senior Accountant, you will be instrumental in steering our firm’s growth and ensuring financial integrity. This position transcends basic transaction management; it involves proactively resolving challenges and ensuring thorough completion of tasks, regardless of complexity. We seek a dedicated individual who exemplifies ownership and excels in problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management and executive teams, delivering critical insights for informed decision-making.
  • Conduct audits of accounts utilizing data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance.
  • Supervise journal entries and reconciliations across multiple business entities, maintaining precision and uniformity.
  • Manage expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for our diverse portfolio of businesses.
  • Train and mentor bookkeepers and staff, fostering high-quality performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager on various accounting tasks, ensuring cohesive team dynamics.
  • Assist with data entry and research efforts to provide financial insights that support strategic business initiatives.
  • Engage in research for potential business acquisitions, contributing to the assessment of new opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, particularly with real estate or acquisition-related accounting.
  • Proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative and commitment to completion.
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and experienced with financial software (NetSuite or similar) and Google Workspace.
  • Capable of managing variable workloads during acquisition phases and critical deadlines.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate seamless business integrations.
  • Adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, capable of pivoting strategies to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A proven track record of managing complex financial transactions and reporting obligations.

Compensation and Benefits We are dedicated to attracting top-tier talent and offer a competitive salary range of \(63,000—\)75,000 USD, depending on experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
