Compensation and Benefits

• Contract Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Hours: Full-time (35-40 hours per week, including indirect time)
• Pay Rate: \(28-\)35 per hour (based on experience)
• Start Date: ASAP – End of School Year (Opportunities for the 2025-26 school year may also be available!)
• School Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (local time)

Skills

• Valid South Carolina Special Education certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Proficient in using technology for virtual instruction
• Experience with tracking student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual instruction for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop and maintain IEPs tailored to student needs
• Track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with onsite school staff and faculty to ensure student success
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings with families and school teams

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Special Education required
• Remote teaching experience preferred

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred
