Skills

  • Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid state-issued Speech-Language Pathology license in your state of residence
  • Valid Washington state SLP license and Washington Educational Staff Associate Credential (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging and effective speech therapy services to students via teletherapy
  • Work closely with other professionals to identify, evaluate, and support students with speech and language impairments
  • Create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Attend and contribute to various meetings, including IEP meetings, staff meetings, and parent conferences
  • Work directly with students to achieve their IEP goals and objectives
  • Evaluate, implement, and monitor augmentative communication devices
  • Plan and deliver clear, intentional instruction based on IEP goals and state standards
  • Foster a safe and supportive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with parents and the school community to support student success
  • Process and maintain accurate records and documents according to regulations
  • Guide and direct the work of assigned support staff
  • Comply with district policies and professional codes of conduct
  • Continuously strengthen your job-related competencies
