Position Overview We are searching for a meticulous and proactive Staff Accountant who is deeply passionate about numbers and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of managing financial information for clients, performing analysis of general ledger accounts, and preparing accurate financial statements. As a key contributor in our team, you will work closely with clients ensuring precision and satisfaction in all financial aspects. This role reports directly to the Director of Accounting and does not involve any direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile financial statements by collecting and analyzing data from both clients and internal systems.
• Accurately record inventories, transactions, and daily deposits using advanced accounting software.
• Review, code, and reconcile banking transactions, addressing any software issues as necessary.
• Maintain cash flow tools while guaranteeing accuracy in all financial entries, including assets, liabilities, and expenses.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets, implementing necessary adjustments.
• Manage various tax filings, including 8027s, business license renewals, payroll taxes, and sales taxes.
• Carry out quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding matters with tax agencies.
• Offer support to clients on financial inquiries, delivering clear and precise explanations.
• Engage in special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a General Ledger (GL) accountant.
• Essential background in the restaurant industry (FOH, BOH, or management).
• Candidates with substantial accounting experience (5+ years) but lacking a degree are also welcome to apply.
• Comfort with cloud-based systems and readiness to learn new software platforms.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends as required.
