Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals to support students’ individualized learning goals
• Assist with therapy sessions and follow-up assessments
• Develop and implement programs that focus on functional living skills based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and assessments
• Provide technical and clinical support to ensure students receive the tools and resources they need to succeed

Qualifications

• Active Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license in South Dakota
• At least one year of relevant experience (preferred but not required)

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
