The Resident Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in leading our assisted living and memory care communities, which cater to over 1,400 seniors across multiple locations in Illinois, Indiana, and Florida. This position encompasses supervising and developing resident services staff, ensuring compliance with medication management and state regulations, and creating personalized service plans for residents. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff, ensuring quality care and support.

Skills

  • Registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) with a valid license
  • Experience in direct patient care, including assessments and clinical observations
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage staff in the healthcare sector
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships
  • CPR certification and knowledge of basic first aid
  • Flexibility in work hours and availability on weekends

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, develop, and schedule resident services staff
  • Establish and maintain a compliant medication management system
  • Conduct assessments and create tailored service plans for residents
  • Manage departmental operations within budget
  • Perform Quality Enhancement reviews for compliance
  • Serve as a primary contact for resident care-related issues
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living as necessary
  • Provide training and orientation for staff members
  • Promote a positive image of our community
  • Drive a company vehicle for community activities as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid RN or LPN license as required by state regulations
  • Experience in direct patient care and clinical observations
  • Previous department head experience preferred
  • Knowledge of state-required training for licensure
  • Experience in coordinating educational events is a plus

  • Nursing degree from an accredited institution
