As a Co-Manager at Journeys, you will assist the Store Manager and Manager in Training in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to meet the store and personal sales plans. Your role will involve controlling expenses and safeguarding company assets while ensuring a fun, full-service experience for all customers.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring high-caliber employees
  • Train and develop a successful sales team
  • Supervise daily store operations in the absence of Store Manager and Manager in Training
  • Manage aspects of Loss Prevention practices
  • Effectively communicate all store needs to management
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently
  • Conduct bank deposits and manage store openings/closings

Qualifications

  • Prior management experience in a retail environment preferred
  • 6-12 months of retail sales experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Completed all training programs leading up to Co-Manager position
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Education Requirements

  • No specific degree required, but retail management training is preferred
