Waste Management (WM) is seeking dedicated Roll-Off Drivers to join our team. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck, preparing, loading, and transporting large mobile open top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycle facilities, and customer locations. This position requires navigating various environments and performing highly skilled backing maneuvers, ensuring that we maintain our top-tier status in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate vehicle following all safety and legal regulations
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
  • Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues
  • Work closely with Route Managers to enhance route efficiencies
  • Communicate customer requests and incidents to management
  • Complete customer tickets and ensure proper positioning of containers
  • Assist other drivers as needed and perform assigned duties

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical

Education Requirements

  • Education: Not required
  • Experience: One (1) year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the last seven (7) years

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) required
  • Current Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with air brake endorsement

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
  • Familiarity with manual transmission (8-speed or higher)
