Description
As a driver for Sysco, you will be responsible for running daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks, and unloading products at each designated stop. You will operate within a cross-dock model by picking up a loaded truck and returning the empty truck at the end of your route. Occasionally, you may assist with loading trucks and performing additional duties as assigned. This role requires an ability to lift and move products, verify deliveries, handle customer communications, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Run routes efficiently while meeting or exceeding designated times
  • Unload products and place them in designated customer storage areas
  • Lift and move products weighing up to 100 pounds frequently
  • Verify deliveries and obtain necessary signatures
  • Handle customer complaints professionally
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Follow written driver safety rules

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of route delivery or equivalent driving experience
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class B preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand English
