Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate all plant safety and industrial hygiene activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA regulations
  • Provide safety training on various topics
  • Review and investigate accidents, injuries, and illnesses, determining root causes
  • Work with process engineers to ensure proper safeguards and PPE are included in manufacturing processes
  • Keep current on OSHA, Community Right to Know, and Federal and State regulations
  • Coordinate and direct implementation of Employee Health and Safety management practices under the OHSAS 18001 program
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to enhance safety compliance programs

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety-related roles
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety preferred

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in safety or industrial hygiene
