We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic Sales team. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Sales and play an integral part in driving new business for our content syndication products. As a full-lifecycle sales leader, you will be responsible for every stage of the sales process—from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and closing deals.

You will have the opportunity to craft your own go-to-market strategy, focusing on mid-market and enterprise clients across diverse marketing disciplines. Building relationships with key decision-makers and executing high-impact sales strategies will be essential to your success. Additionally, you will work closely with Revenue leadership to optimize sales processes and help foster a high-performing sales culture.

Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in a closing sales role in martech, adtech, B2B SaaS, or media
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing, PR, content, SEO, and earned media
  • Ability to engage with senior executives, leading sales conversations
  • Consultative sales approach with tailored solutions
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate complex buyer journeys
  • Data-driven mindset for crafting compelling sales narratives
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive self-starter
  • Passion for digital media, marketing, or journalism

Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to closing and renewal
  • Identify high-value prospects and build meaningful relationships
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan
  • Lead consultative sales conversations addressing challenges
  • Clearly communicate the value of our offerings
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Newsroom teams
  • Contribute proactively to the development of scalable sales strategies
  • Utilize tools like HubSpot, Apollo, and SalesNav
  • Analyze sales data to refine strategies and forecast growth

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a closing sales role
  • Proven success in full-cycle sales
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and related fields
  • Ability to engage with senior executives
  • Consultative sales skills and strong business acumen
  • Exceptional communication skills

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
