Skills

• Experience in healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries preferred
  
• Strong ability in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation & analysis
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and Workday software
  
• Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and experience preparing sales tax returns
  

Responsibilities

• Accurately account for non-patient revenue, employee benefits, and non-salary expenses
  
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for accuracy
  
• Assist in budget preparation for special events and contributions
  
• Review accounts payable and ensure accurate expense accruals during close
  
• Oversee positive pay uploads for check runs and support banking functions
  
• Manage lease and utilities accounting, including quarterly rent expense schedules
  
• Document financial transactions and maintain secure account information
  
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and advise management accordingly
  
• Research and interpret accounting policies
  
• Support accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare sector
  
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  
• Excellent communication skills
