Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this full-time position is \(84,000 - \)138,000, plus benefits and bonus opportunities. Skills

  • Expertise in biological resource assessments (CEQA/NEPA)
  • Proficient in botanical and wildlife species surveys
  • Experience in wetland delineations and jurisdictional determinations
  • Knowledge of CRAM assessments
  • Strong understanding of regulatory permitting and compliance oversight
  • Skills in restoration planning, habitat management, and mitigation monitoring
  • Experience with utility, energy, water, or transportation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high-quality technical studies and environmental documents
  • Identify optimal permitting pathways for complex projects
  • Conduct stream/wetland delineations and essential fieldwork
  • Lead complex biological permitting projects and manage them independently
  • Coordinate project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and regulatory agencies
  • Provide technical direction to staff and subcontractors
  • Conduct quality assurance and control (QA/QC) reviews of technical reports, budgets, and schedules
  • Engage in client outreach to foster relationships and secure new business opportunities
  • Write proposals and develop project estimates
  • Participate in client interviews and deliver presentations.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive and successful environmental consulting experience
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, or a PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of supervising employees and building positive relationships
