Skills

• Experience with capital accounting guidance under ASC 360 and ASC 350
• Understanding of lease accounting guidance under ASC 842 (preferred)
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with technology
• Analytical thinking skills
• Experience with ERP ledger systems (Oracle, Baan, SAP, JDE) is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Communicate effectively with team members from other functional areas and external sources
• Comply with internal controls and best practices
• Initiate process improvements to increase efficiency of financial close and accuracy of financial accounts
• Support the financial reporting team as needed for preparation of the Form 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings as required

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
• Master’s degree in business administration or CPA certification preferred
