The Civil Restoration Design Engineer (Hydrological Engineering) will play a critical role in our thriving environmental consulting firm, specializing in planning, design, mitigation, and restoration projects across a variety of environments. This mid- to senior-level position will involve performing and occasionally leading multifaceted natural resource, water resource, and civil engineering-related designs, calculations, and analyses. You may specialize in various areas including civil, water resources, or coastal engineering, hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology, environmental restoration, flood management, and water quality.

Skills

  • Strong design and modeling software skills (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, HEC RAS, HEC HMS)
  • Ability to perform hydrographic and topographic surveys
  • In-depth knowledge of hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic modeling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Project management skills and understanding of project management principles

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical specialist and potentially as Project Manager on various projects
  • Perform and lead ecosystem restoration, flood management, and other engineering studies
  • Prepare clear, concise documents and reports
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration within project teams
  • Participate in business development and marketing efforts

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of civil or water resources engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field
  • EIT Certification or current Professional Engineer license required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant civil engineering or water resources engineering experience
  • Proven track record in environmental consulting or scientific roles
