The Senior Environmental Engineer (P.E. Licensed) / Environmental Project Manager will play a crucial role in our Environmental Remediation Consulting Services Practice. This position is available in our Walnut Creek, CA or San Diego, CA offices. The successful candidate will lead project execution supporting our Environmental Remediation practice while ensuring high-quality deliverables are provided to clients on time and within budget.

You will be an experienced environmental practitioner responsible for overseeing project performance and managing a team, contributing to the firm’s mission to preserve and enhance the natural environment through innovative solutions.

Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization
  • Experience in environmental site investigation and remediation
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of project planning and execution
  • Monitor client satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships
  • Manage project staff and subcontractors for efficient project completion
  • Serve as the technical lead for complex environmental projects
  • Prepare engineering cost estimates and project documents
  • Foster collaborative work relationships and mentor junior staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental site investigation and remediation
  • Experience with hazardous waste management and environmental compliance
  • Proven experience managing large-scale environmental projects

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or relevant scientific discipline

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in environmental engineering and remediation projects
  • Demonstrated capability in managing complex environmental sites
