Skills

• 5+ years of experience with ArcGIS Online and Pro
• Extensive knowledge of GIS principles, theories, and practices
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Instant Apps, and ArcGIS Experience Builder
• Hands-on experience using ModelBuilder
• Strong skills in Python programming language
• Familiarity with using Arcade for data visualizations and calculations
• Ability to effectively communicate GIS principles to non-GIS users
• Experience writing metadata

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on GIS data implementation strategies in coordination with the NCDOT GIS Unit
• Develop geospatial products based on current standards and practices
• Analyze business requests and provide independent GIS solutions
• Use Experience Builder and Dashboards to display and update data
• Write Python scripts and Models using ModelBuilder for workflow optimization
• Conduct QA/QC and verification of GIS products and procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience with GIS analysis processes
• Ability to digest goals and processes to generate independent GIS-based solutions
• Hands-on experience with spatial data modeling and GIS data acquisition

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, or a related field is preferred.

Education Requirements Credential Category

• GIS Certification is highly desirable.

Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in GIS analysis and application development.
• Demonstrated experience working with complex GIS systems and implementations.
