The Department of Ecology is hiring a Senior Hydrogeologist (Hydrogeologist 4) within the Water Quality Program. This position offers the opportunity to apply your hydrogeologic expertise to significant work that supports Washington’s communities and environment. You will engage with emerging groundwater topics, such as reclaimed water use and industrial wastewater treatment, while contributing to essential permitting decisions that protect water quality across the state.
You will leverage your knowledge of groundwater systems and industrial discharges to support various groundwater evaluations and water quality projects, shaping practical approaches to managing wastewater and preserving natural resources. Collaboration with colleagues, community members, and regulated facilities will be key to your role in providing hydrogeologic input for assessments and permit development.
