The Research Scientist will be responsible for organizing and maintaining mouse colonies, with a flexible schedule based on animal care needs, including occasional weekend and holiday work. You will assist in designing in vivo model systems and proof of concept studies that enhance the translatability between animal models and human disease. This position involves performing in vivo lab experiments, including dosing, PK/PD studies, and sample collections, while adhering to IACUC standards of in vivo research.

You will also contribute to study synopses, protocols, reports, and regulatory documents, and perform data recording and statistical analysis while documenting experimental procedures in an electronic notebook. Engaging with project teams collaboratively, you’ll present results, analyses, conclusions, and implications to the team, sharing responsibility for lab maintenance duties.

Skills

  • Proficiency in rodent handling (mouse, rat)
  • Experience with PK/PD studies and various routes of administration (IP, IV, SC, PO)
  • In vivo surgical experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of in vivo imaging techniques is a plus
  • Ability to manage contract research organizations is desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
