The Landscape Architect / Landscape Designer will play an essential role at our dynamic environmental consulting firm, specializing in planning, design, mitigation, and restoration for various projects across communities, infrastructure systems, open spaces, and wildlands. This position can be based in any of our Northern California office locations, including Oakland, San Francisco, Petaluma, Sacramento, or San Jose. You will work collaboratively with a team of engineers, geomorphologists, landscape architects, biologists, and restoration ecologists, fostering an environment that values creative thinking, teamwork, and cross-disciplinary integration.

Skills

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software
  • Strong knowledge of landscape architecture principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to perform field studies and analyses
  • Critical thinking and judgment skills for standard techniques and methods

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical specialist in landscape architecture related system plans and designs
  • Perform and lead field studies such as site analysis and vegetation surveys
  • Review development and environmental codes to support planning and design efforts
  • Prepare landscape architecture documents including maps, renderings, and design drawings
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and policies in areas of expertise

Qualifications

  • Mid- to senior-level professional with at least five years of professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related environmental field
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and able to pass a background check
