We have a Mechanical Engineer position open in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for mechanical engineering on large-scale projects involving mechanical system design from scratch, analysis/calculations (stress/fatigue/etc.), acceleration forces, load calculations, material stress design, failure and effects analysis, risk assessment, component selection, and mechanical system installation/commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement fully integrated mechanical assembly systems
  • Conduct mechanical system design analysis, including stress, fatigue, and reliability calculations
  • Develop documentation of system configurations and designs
  • Review and adhere to local or government agency design/implementation codes
  • Act as the technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians
  • Manage smaller projects, ensuring timelines and costs are met
  • Assist with the startup and debugging of integrated systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical systems and safety standards
  • Knowledge of contract documents, planning, and problem-solving skills
