Skills

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Maintain ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to explain procedures clearly to patients and families.
  • Ability to assess patients’ physical and emotional status.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex imaging examinations with precision and care.
  • Review requisitions and patient charts to determine the appropriate procedure.
  • Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying patients using two identifiers.
  • Select appropriate equipment and technical factors to capture optimal images.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Adhere to departmental quality control and data integrity workflows.
  • Assist in maintaining smooth daily operations and participate in quality assurance projects.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to new departmental initiatives.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree.
  • 3 years of experience.
  • Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license (for General Radiography).

Education Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in radiologic technology.
