Skills

  • Proficiency in project management and engineering principles
  • Strong technical understanding of steel manufacturing processes and heavy industrial equipment
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively with production, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams
  • Competence in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and file management
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and close Strategic, Developmental, and CAPEX projects
  • Enforce plant safety practices to promote an injury-free workplace
  • Manage projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and functional
  • Collaborate on pre-project studies and engage with production units to identify new projects
  • Work closely with financial analysts to provide necessary financial calculations and updates
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to secure equipment and services at competitive prices
  • Follow corporate standards for file storage and compliance with laws and regulations
  • Attend and participate fully in required meetings

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering within a steel manufacturing environment or heavy industry
  • At least 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
  • Competence in managing projects in an international, multilingual environment

Education Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Engineering and Project Management within relevant industries
