The Senior Research Associate - Purification will play a vital role in supporting the Biologics Development Operations team. This temporary position is needed through the end of the year to cover various leaves of absence. The ideal candidate will possess scientific expertise in process development, particularly in recombinant proteins, with a focus on downstream process development and scale-up.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of downstream process development and scale-up techniques
  • Hands-on experience with centrifugation, normal flow filtration, chromatography, tangential flow filtration, and virus inactivation/removal
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Execute purification process development and scale-up activities
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations for technology transfer to clinical and commercial GMP manufacturing
  • Participate in the preparation of regulatory filings and validation reports
  • Design and execute experiments with increasing independence
  • Monitor external literature and scientific conferences for advancements

Qualifications

  • BS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an MS with no experience required
  • Proven experience in purification process development
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Degree in relevant scientific field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in purification process development for BS candidates; experience not required for MS candidates
