We are seeking a highly motivated and talented (Senior) Research Associate/Associate Scientist to join our Immuno-oncology research group within the Clients Research department. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the research and development of oncology therapeutics. You will be responsible for drug screening, contributing to the day-to-day laboratory procedures, executing fit-for-purpose or hypothesis-based experiments, and conducting various cell-based immuno- and biochemical assays utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to advance drug candidates. Experience with mammalian cell culture, handling of reporter cell lines, primary immune cells, blood samples, tumor cell lines, and patient-derived tissues is required. The preferred candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, along with the drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced work environment while contributing to a dynamic culture that embraces teamwork and innovation.

Skills

  • 5+ years with BS degree or 2+ years with MS degree in a related scientific discipline
  • Basic cell biology and deep immunology knowledge
  • Technical expertise in a broad range of biochemical and immunological techniques (e.g., cell proliferation/survival, apoptosis, reporter-based assays, ELISA, flow cytometry, western blot, CRISPR KO)
  • Proficiency in T cell biology, functional assays, and primary cell isolation techniques
  • Proficiency with data analysis and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Graphpad Prism, flowJo)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and technical) and interpersonal skills
  • Highly collaborative and resourceful, with the ability to integrate into a multidisciplinary environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and interpret key experiments for the discovery and pre-clinical evaluation of drug candidates
  • Work with senior personnel to define relevant experimental strategies
  • Troubleshoot and optimize assays as needed, applying novel techniques or protocols from scientific literature
  • Maintain awareness of technical developments and apply knowledge to improve assay performance
  • Participate in discussions and deliver key data to inform decision-making
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with BS degree or 2+ years with MS degree in a related scientific discipline
  • Work history demonstrating direct participation in biopharmaceutical drug discovery is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge in cell biology and immunology
  • Proven record of utilizing a broad range of biochemical and immunological techniques

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline
  • Master’s degree preferred but not required

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

Experience Requirements

  • 2-5 years of scientific experience in a related field
  • Proven experience in biopharmaceutical drug discovery and development
