Responsibilities

• Develop and manage security strategies for cloud and legacy solutions, focusing on governance, compliance, and infrastructure hosting.
• Lead efforts for security audits, project management, policy development, and maintaining relationships across multiple agencies.
• Provide guidance and documentation to ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and RMA security policies.
• Implement security best practices for protecting sensitive data during storage and transmission.
• Oversee hosting vendor management, change management, and incident management processes.
• Assist in the design, documentation, and implementation of selected security tools in collaboration with leadership.
• Lead cross-functional teams, building trust and fostering consensus among stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and policy requirements related to security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preference for IT-related disciplines).
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CAP, and Security+ are desirable.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Experience Requirements

• 15+ years of IT experience, with a strong understanding of cybersecurity and risk management.
• 5+ years in IT security, with 2+ years of cloud security experience (AWS preferred).
• Experience in security architecture, vulnerability management, encryption, and compliance.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate teams under pressure.
