The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a focus on creating scalable and maintainable solutions while adhering to best practices and coding standards.

Skills

• Proficient in ServiceNow Flow Designer or ServiceNow Workflow Editor, including Scheduled Script Executions (Scheduled Jobs)
• Extensive experience in ServiceNow development and/or administration
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) or Customer Service Management (CSM)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript and web development tools (HTML, CSS, XML, SQL, AJAX)
• Experience with building and maintaining integrations between ServiceNow and other systems using REST, SOAP, and APIs
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable and maintainable solutions within the ServiceNow platform
• Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, modules, workflows, and integrations
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers and support teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow configurations, workflows, integrations, and performance

Qualifications

• Proven work experience with ServiceNow development and administration
• Experience leading requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

• Relevant certifications in ServiceNow are required (CSA and/or CAD)

Experience Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow development and/or administration
• Experience with ITSM or CSM environments is a plus
