This remote position is a one-year contract offering a W-2 rate of up to $55/hour, accepting Corp to Corp arrangements. The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and have over 25 years of managerial experience in the IT field. The primary responsibility involves providing software support for the legacy Fuel Tax Compliance System (FuelTaCS) application and rewriting it in C#. This role supports the North Carolina State Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Enforcement Section (NCSHP MCES) and the DMV License and Theft Bureau.

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of software development principles and techniques

Responsibilities

• Provide software support to the FuelTaCS application
• Rewrite the legacy FuelTaCS application in C#
• Assist the NCSHP MCES personnel in issuing citations to commercial trucks
• Ensure that inspections of vehicles are conducted per NC General Statutes
• Support other DMV applications including LECMS, Scrap Yard System, Trip Permits, and more

Qualifications

• 25+ years of work/managerial experience in the IT field
• Proven experience in software development and support
• Effective leadership demonstrated through project management

Education Requirements

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
