Compensation and Benefits

• Rate range: Your starting rate is negotiable based on your skills and experience
• This is an hourly, independent contractor position; compensation is based solely on hours worked, with monthly payments via wire transfer
• Please note that PTO is not included in this independent contractor role

Skills

• 4-5+ years of professional software development experience
• Proven ability to take ambiguous goals and ship without detailed specs
• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
• Full-stack proficiency — comfortable across different layers of technology
• Strong product instincts and UX reasoning
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Excellent communication skills with concise updates

Responsibilities

• Transform vague, high-level goals into successful, shipped software
• Own large scopes end-to-end, breaking down the problems and driving them to completion
• Make independent UX and scope judgments
• Work in tight iteration loops, shipping quickly and refining based on feedback
• Utilize AI-assisted coding tools to streamline your workflow
• Proactively communicate blockers and decisions without needing management oversight

Qualifications

• Proven track record of shipping side projects, fast prototypes, or 0-to-1 work
• Comfortable in early-stage, fast-moving environments
• Clear, concise communication style

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
