As a Social Media Marketing Intern with Decriminalize Nature Chicago, you will gain hands-on experience in various facets of marketing. Your role will involve creating and executing digital campaigns, content creation, and market research. You will collaborate closely with our national principals to support strategic initiatives, enhance brand visibility, and engage with our target audience. This position reports directly to the Decriminalize Nature Chicago Operations Coordinator, providing the opportunity to gain experience in national initiatives as well.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.

  • Develop and edit videos for marketing and educational purposes.
  • Draft and distribute monthly email newsletters.
  • Manage and grow our social media presence.
  • Conduct market research to inform marketing strategies.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, webinars, and exhibitions.

Qualifications

  • Preferred but not required: Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, graphic design, media production, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or work experience in marketing, graphic design, or video editing is preferred but not required.
  • Attributes: Passion for community engagement and local/national initiatives.
