As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Tech, Infrastructure Platforms division, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Compensation and Benefits

Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in modern programming languages (Python, React, Java)
  • Knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Emerging knowledge in technical disciplines (cloud, artificial intelligence, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Write secure and high-quality code with limited guidance
  • Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot considering upstream and downstream systems
  • Apply technical troubleshooting to solve basic complexity problems
  • Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from diverse data sets
  • Learn and apply system processes and methodologies for secure code development
  • Contribute to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Qualifications

  • 2+ years applied experience in software engineering
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle
  • Exposure to Infrastructure Architecture designs (preferred)
  • Experience in GCP GKE ecosystems (preferred)

Education Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts is required.

Education Requirements Credential Category

Certification in software engineering or related field.

Experience Requirements

At least 2 years of applied experience in software engineering.
