We are seeking a Special Education Case Manager who will ensure compliance with special education timelines and procedures, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including families, teachers, and community leaders. This role is vital in supporting students with IEPs to achieve their goals in a diverse educational environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: \(52,958.00 - \)62,373.00 per year

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal special education laws
  • Excellent communication skills with families, students, and staff
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers
  • Strong coordination and scheduling abilities
  • Proficient in using technology for educational documentation

Responsibilities

  • Ensure understanding of the IEP process among all staff
  • Provide professional development on proper IEP documentation
  • Develop schedules for special education teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Manage IEP binders and scheduling
  • Support special education teachers through instructional coaching
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and monitor compliance
  • Collect and report data on student progress
  • Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Team and other stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly with parents and families

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • LBS1 Endorsement required
  • Valid ISBE Special Education endorsement
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination or approved exemption
  • Authorized to work in the US

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • LBS1 Endorsement

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in special education settings or related field is preferred.
