We are looking for a Special Education Case Manager to support our Passages Elementary School, which serves a diverse population of students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: \(52,958.00 - \)62,373.00 per year

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • LBS1 Endorsement required
  • Valid ISBE Special Education endorsement
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws
  • Strong communication skills to engage families, students, and staff
  • Collaboration skills to work with classroom teachers
  • Coordination and organizational skills to manage special services
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job
  • Must provide proof of Covid19 vaccination or approved exemption
  • Authorized to work in the US

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all staff understand the IEP process
  • Provide professional development regarding IEP documentation
  • Develop schedules for special education teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Manage IEP binders, scheduling, and SECA justification
  • Support educators through instructional coaching
  • Implement co-teaching models and inclusive practices
  • Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Team on the MTSS process
  • Monitor IEP implementation and evaluation processes
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and communicate with teachers
  • Collect, analyze, and report data quarterly
  • Field questions around IEP processes from staff
  • Assist with crisis management and behavior support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • LBS1 Endorsement required
  • Valid ISBE Special Education endorsement
  • Knowledge of state and federal special education laws
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage physical demands of the job

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Special Education (LBS1 Endorsement)

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in special education settings preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
