We are a well-established CPA firm providing comprehensive financial services to a diverse clientele, including musicians, entertainers, professional athletes, entrepreneurs, individuals, and small business owners. Committed to excellence, we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team in a pivotal role. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in managing client relationships and contributing to the overall success of our firm. Position Overview: As a Tax and Business Advisor, you will be responsible for a range of professional duties, including the preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, limited trust and non-profit returns. In addition to your technical expertise, you will actively identify tax issues, plan opportunities, and assist in their implementation. The role involves overseeing accounting write-up and prepared financial statements, comprehensive year-end tax planning, and effectively managing a team of tax and accounting professionals. Responsibilities: Review and prepare individual, corporate, partnership tax returns, with a limited number of trust and non-profit returns. Identify applicable tax issues and planning opportunities, assist with implementation. Review and respond to IRS and state & local tax notices, audits. Perform and supervise accounting write-up/prepared financial statements. Conduct comprehensive year-end tax planning. Supervise, train, and review the work of other team members (tax and accounting). Acquire knowledge of various aspects of the music industry, athlete taxation, and various other small business clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting with a strong grasp of accounting and financial statement concepts. Current CPA firm and/or family office experience. In-depth knowledge and experience with tax return concepts for Individuals, S Corporations, C Corporations, LLC's, Partnerships. Experience with tax audits and reviewing/responding to notices. Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve tax and financial issues, perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking. Strong software skills, including proficiency in Excel, experience with CCH ProSystem. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with clients (written, verbal, and in-person). Ability to handle multiple priorities, clients, and tight deadlines as part of a team. What We Offer: Competitive salary with performance bonuses. 401K with company contribution.
