Description

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to provide high school-level instruction to adult learners (18+). This role involves delivering instruction in both online and in-person settings across various locations in California, including Nevada County, Riverside County, Monterey County, Kern County, Los Angeles County (Antelope Valley), Merced County, Ventura County, and Butte County. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching diverse student populations and be comfortable utilizing a combination of synchronous and asynchronous instruction methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, multi-subject lessons tailored to a diverse student population
• Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with educational standards
• Utilize the Canvas learning management system for online instruction
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and tests
• Maintain accurate and timely student records, including grading in the Aeries student information system
• Provide students with guidance on career opportunities, employment options, and continuing education
• Encourage students to uphold classroom behavior standards
• Adhere to core organizational values and educational best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid 30-Day Substitute Permit, Multiple Subject, or Single Subject Teaching Credential required
• Experience working with rural or farm-working communities is a plus but not required
