Skills

  • Possess a Private Investigator License or PERC Card in Illinois
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to meet state-mandated requirements for licensing

Responsibilities

  • Locate subjects of assigned investigations
  • Conduct covert observations, both stationary and mobile surveillance
  • Record subject activity using video recording devices
  • Prepare written descriptive logs of observations (Surveillance Report)
  • Upload video evidence and surveillance reports

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered:

  • Private Investigator License or PERC Card in Illinois
  • Creative thinking, self-motivated, and good communication skills
  • Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening
  • Good driving record

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in a relevant field is advantageous

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Private Investigator License or PERC Card in Illinois

Experience Requirements

  • Prior related surveillance and workers compensation investigative experience is preferred
  • Experience with video surveillance activities is beneficial
  • Candidates with a Criminal Justice Degree, Military Service, Law Enforcement Experience, and/or Loss Prevention Experience are preferred
