Skills

  • WV Professional Surveyor License (additional state licensures are a plus)
  • Expertise in Carlson Survey CAD and GIS software for managing geographical data
  • Strong ability to manage field crews and coordinate with branch offices
  • Excellent understanding of local, state, and federal surveying regulations
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, especially in road design, well pad design, and construction layout (nice to have)
  • Strong client relationship skills for building and maintaining successful partnerships (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of survey projects, including planning, execution, and reporting
  • Oversee field crews and ensure efficient workflow
  • Develop and maintain project schematics
  • Analyze geographical data using GIS software to support project requirements
  • Ensure compliance with surveying practices and regulations
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate survey data into project designs
  • Train and mentor junior survey staff on best practices and technical skills
  • Review and validate survey results for accuracy before submission to clients

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Survey Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Professional Surveyor License

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying
  • Experience in managing survey projects and teams
  • Background in Oil & Gas Industry is preferred
