Skills

• Must be a licensed Enrolled Agent with active credentials
• At least 2 years of experience as an Enrolled Agent, specifically in tax resolution matters (offer in compromise, installment agreements, levy releases, etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills focused on providing excellent customer service
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with tax transcript analysis and financial document review
• Ability to maintain organized case notes and provide realistic timelines to clients and team members

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by establishing contact with tax agencies and managing case files to resolve back tax debt
• Communicate regularly with clients and team members to provide updates and guidance on tax matters
• Draft opinion letters, responses to IRS inquiries, and other technical memoranda
• Collaborate with clients, including their finance and accounting teams, to address tax issues effectively
• Negotiate tax relief options such as offers in compromise, payment plans, levy releases, and more
• Analyze financial documents to determine the best resolution options based on the client’s financial situation
• Help clients achieve timely resolutions by working with the IRS and state tax agencies to secure collection holds and release garnishments or levies

Qualifications

• Licensed Enrolled Agent with active credentials
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax resolution
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation

Education Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal education preferred
