Description

The Technical Specialist will be responsible for analyzing complex legacy program modules, coding, and testing new and existing modules for significant modifications to legacy applications. This role involves working with web services via CICS Transaction Server (CTS) and/or CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG), utilizing proven programming techniques in the mainframe environment.

Skills

• Proven experience in programming languages in the mainframe environment (e.g., COBOL, CICS, TSO, MVS JCL, SQL, DB2, and VSAM)
• Knowledge of principles and techniques of computer programming, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation
• Strong analytical, organization, and planning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
• Ability to resolve highly complex problems
• Experience with financial processes analysis and modification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Experience with Enterprise Level Application Development spanning two or more business areas preferred
