Description

The Tree Trimmer will be responsible for climbing trees using climbing hooks and belts, or ladders to reach work areas. This role involves cutting away dead and excess branches, clearing branches near power lines, and using various tools such as chainsaws, handsaws, shears, and clippers to complete tasks. The ideal candidate will work with aerial equipment and perform essential tasks to maintain the health and appearance of trees.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees and use ladders to access work areas
• Cut away dead and excess branches from trees
• Operate shredding and chipping equipment
• Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers and lower branches as needed
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment
• Load debris and refuse onto trucks for disposal
• Prune, fertilize, and spray trees as directed by tree surgeons
• Remove broken limbs from wires and transport materials as necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in tree trimming or landscaping preferred
• Knowledge of tree species and maintenance techniques
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions
