Skills

  • Expert knowledge in preparing and reviewing federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041)
  • Strong background in tax planning and consulting for high-net-worth clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax returns
  • Provide expert tax planning and consulting services to high-net-worth clients
  • Collaborate closely with team members to deliver comprehensive Private Client Services
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and trends
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve processes and enhance productivity
  • Mentor and guide junior team members

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required
  • At least 5 years of experience in trust, estate, and gift tax planning and compliance
  • Strong experience with preparing and reviewing Forms 706, 709, and 1041
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts, estates, and gifts

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in trust and estate tax planning and compliance
  • Previous experience working with high-net-worth clients and private client services is a plus
