Description

We are seeking a Shift Electrician for the Resolution Copper Underground Operations and Maintenance Group, responsible for the safe maintenance and operation of existing physical assets, including a deep shaft, multiple mine levels, and associated equipment and infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in effective whole-of-life asset management practices to ensure ongoing safe maintenance and operation. This role involves working 12-hour rotation shifts, reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor.

Skills

• Journeyman Electrical certification
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Experience with hoist control systems and underground mine power systems
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems
• Experience with mine communications systems
• MSHA underground mine rescue qualification (beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks on equipment and plant systems, both underground and surface
• Implement electrical construction projects
• Develop work orders and ensure closure upon completion
• Identify defects and provide feedback on asset performance, raising notifications when necessary
• Mentor Electrical Apprentices in safely troubleshooting and performing maintenance tasks

Qualifications

• Five years of Electrical experience
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of stakeholders
• Previous experience in underground operations and maintenance (beneficial)

Education Requirements

• Journeyman Electrical certification
