We are currently looking for hearing attorneys to support our VA Department, which is committed to fighting for justice on behalf of veterans.

Our VA Department assists veterans in obtaining service-connected disability benefits for medical conditions related to their military service. As a VA Hearing Attorney, you will handle approximately fifteen hearings per month before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, managing tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with a dedicated case manager.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: $75,000
  • Job Type: Full-time, remote
  • Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday), 8-hour shifts

  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills

Responsibilities

  • Review medical and service records to build strong cases
  • Prepare clients for their hearings
  • Request medical evaluations and records as needed
  • Conduct legal research and draft hearing briefs, post-hearing briefs, motions, and writs
  • Review and electronically sign case-related correspondence
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with case managers
  • Prepare and present hearings for approximately 15 clients monthly
  • Conduct pre-hearing calls with clients
  • Draft post-hearing memoranda as needed

Qualifications

  • Admission to the bar in any U.S. state or territory
  • VA accreditation preferred
  • Experience in Veterans Disability or Social Security law preferred
  • Commitment to guiding veterans through the claims process
  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote setting

Education Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Experience Requirements

  • Previous experience in Veterans Disability or Social Security law preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases in a remote environment
