As a Driver Helper at Waste Management (WM), you will partner with Route Drivers to assist in the collection of waste and recyclable materials. This role is essential in ensuring that our collections are performed efficiently and safely while adhering to all safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Route Driver in performing collections of waste and recyclable materials
  • Load and empty containers into the truck either manually or mechanically
  • Operate hoisting devices to lift containers into the truck hopper
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents or service interruptions
  • Attend scheduled training programs and meetings
  • Perform all assigned duties to meet customer needs

Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of prior work experience required
  • No specific education requirements
  • Must adhere to all safety and operational guidelines
